The film follows Colombia’s leading conservationists on a research trip into the disputed La Macarena territory, where they are using AI-enabled camera traps to understand and protect the region’s extraordinary biodiversity— before it’s too late.

Created to accompany the release of groundbreaking analysis by Global Fishing Watch, published in Science Advances, this is a short video exposing widespread illegal fishing by the Chinese fleet in North Korean waters.

This study marks the beginning of a new era in satellite monitoring of global fishing activity, reinforcing the importance of great transparency to fight illegal and unregulated fishing.
